THE WORLD WASTE PROBLEM
The world we live in today is plagued with an ever increasing waste problem. According to researchers, we produce an astonishing 3.6 million tonnes of solid waste each day all over the world. Research also shows that waste produced is expected to rise to about 6.1 million metric tonnes per day by 2025.
INTRODUCING VECTORIUM
Vectorium is a cryptocurrency project set up to combat waste generation and improper waste management issues. The project involves two different cryptocurrencies, namely; The Vectorium Flash and the Vectorium Plus, alongside the waste to coin (WtC) process.
Vectorium works by creating electricity and cryptocurrency from waste processing. This treatment of produces fuel for the cryptocurrency mining process.
The Waste to Coin (WtC) process is an energy recovery process. The process mainly involves generating electricity, cryptocurrency or both mostly through sublimation.
The WtC process has a lot of advantages, some of them include:
• Transferring energy digitally using blockchain-based technology.
• Using renewable energy sources for the blockchain mining process (eco-friendly).
• A disruptive way of transforming cryptocurrency to electricity.
• Converting harmful waste to cryptocurrencies, etc.
In most countries all over the world, electricity supplied follows this path: Power plants produce electricity, it is distributed to homes and factories using pylons, cables, control units and meters. This method is built to function in one direction. Most times the flow of energy is constant, irrespective of the quantity needed per time. In times were large amount of electricity; more than that which is needed, is produced by photovoltaic (PV) systems, energy waste occurs. This often comes with additional costs of disposing the excess electricity. Vectorium is looking to design a power grid that is “smart”. One that will easily connect consumers of energy directly with producers. Vectorium plans to achieve this by incorporating an information network into the distribution network. This simply means that information will be gotten in real time from meters, measuring devices, etc and then rationalized and distributed according to efficiency.
This smart network will be designed in such a way that it would completely eliminate electricity interruptions and possibly reduce load when necessary.
OBJECTIVES OF VECTORIUM
Vectorium is a project that is aspiring to propound a lasting solution to one of the world’s most pressing issues.
Its first objective is to create a mini electricity sales consortia. To enable rapid exchange of energy, blockchain and smart meters will be used. Making use of the Vectorium flash coin will facilitate energy exchange and bring about a significant reduction in the price of energy.
The Vectorium’s ecosystem can be summarized as:
Microgrids – This simply mean the coming together of two or more producers to form a group of “prosumers”. Simply put, it is the combination of both consumers and producers. Vectorium Flash would be produced through this process. Anyone with a solar plant irrespective of size is eligible to join the Consortium.
Vectorium islands – These simply refers to locations where renewable energy and cryptocurrencies will be produced. This locations will convert wind, solar, and waste to energy through a system regulated by AI.

CONCLUSION
Waste is one issue, the world can no longer turn a blind eye to. Vectorium is helping to solve this issue in the most profitable way possible. Instead of just disposing waste, Vectorium is creating revenue from it, saving energy and still looking out for our environment.
